Our campaign to secure marriage equality in Delaware continues to grow, as Labor Union 32BJ SEIU announced today that they've endorsed marriage equality and will proudly join us in calling on Delaware lawmakers to pass the freedom to marry this year.
“32BJ SEIU sees marriage equality as an important civil rights issue and believes all working people should be treated with dignity and respect. We stand with all Delawareans who are fighting for their right to marry who they love,” said Wayne Mac Maniman, SEIU 32BJ's Mid-Atlantic District Director.
32BJ SERIU's endorsement is the latest in organized labor's overwhelming support for marriage in Delaware. Last month, the state's largest labor organizations -- the Delaware State AFL-CIO, the Delaware Building and Construction Trades Council, and Delaware Public Employees Council 81 – announced their support as well.
