Huge news for our campaign today! The President of the Delaware NAACP, Richard Smith, teamed up with us to release a video endorsing marriage equality here in the First State.
In the video, Smith says: "Our gay brothers and sisters should have the freedom to marry the person they love, just like the rest of us." He also calls on our lawmakers in Dover to stand on the right side of history by voting in favor of all loving, committed couples.

This critical endorsement from the NAACP shows just how broad-based and widespread support for marriage equality is. All across the state, fair-minded Delawareans are calling on our legislators to extend the freedom to marry to all couples.
"The NAACP is a legendary and vital civil rights organization,” said Lisa Goodman, President of Equality Delaware. “We are honored to work with the NAACP and President Smith.”
The NAACP's support comes on the heels of many crucial endorsements, including Attorney General Beau Biden, Episcopal Bishop Wayne Wright, and the state's leading labor unions. And a recent poll showed that 54% of Delawareans support marriage equality!
